Musik, aus dem Denken, ins Hören und Freilassen.

Born in Shanghai, Weiwei Xu is a composer & sound artist. She focuses on different aspects in composition: instrumental timbre, recorded sounds, improvisation, and design temporal structure, thinking within and beyond the conventional - rationality, sensitivity, fragility, spontaneousness, and indeterminacy.

Weiwei studied composition with Peter Edwards at the National University of Singapore - Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, with Klaus Lang and Beat Furrer at the Kunstuniversität Graz.

Her music compositions have been realized and performed in Singapore, Germany, Austria, Norway, Spain and China (Shanghai) in various contemporary and new music event,:
